Whenever possible, we choose the most sustainable option for our purchases, including 31 ,OOO KI Daylight chairs made from recycled car battery casings and seatbelts. We are dedicated to using environmentally friendly cleaning solutions and 90% of cleaning supplies purchased are sustainable.

The Phoenix Convention Center's comprehensive recycling program provides recycling containers throughout the campus to collect paper. plastic. cardboard, and glass. The program. Which also uses recycled and biodegradable materials in daily operations. diverted more than 460 tons of waste from landfills last year.

Our catering partner takes great care to ensure that PCC creates as little reusable waste as possible. In our daily operations, we use reusable China and silverware and 85% ot all disposable dishware and cutlery are biodegradable.

METRO Light Rail is the ruture or low-impact public transportation in Phoenix. The Light Rail line has a dedicated stop at the Phoenix Convention Center and is just a short walk to Phoenix's three main convention hotels, and it provides direct access to and from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. This helps reduce the city's carbon footprint by helping our visitors avoid the road!

We took great care to ensure that environmentally responsible materials were used in construction ot PCC. In addition. energy-star certified roofing materials along with the addition or underground parking have reduced the PCCs impact on the urban heat island effect in Phoenix. Our efforts enabled us to achieve LEEDSilver Certification from the us Green Building Council.

The West Building of the PCC nas its very own solar power plant comprised of 732 thin-film panels that are on track to reduce PCC's carbon dioxide emissions by 95 metric tons and produce enough energy to power 12-14 homes a year.

Fresh, local food and produce is a huge part ot our sustainability efforts. Our catering partner works with local growers to provide fresh, organic produce and free-range chicken to PCC visitors.
