NOTICE OF RESULTS

ALHAMBRA VILLAGE PLANNING COMMITTEE

 

Pursuant to A.R.S. Section 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the members of the ALHAMBRA VILLAGE PLANNING COMMITTEE and to the general public, that the ALHAMBRA VILLAGE PLANNING COMMITTEE held a meeting open to the public on October 28, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. located at Washington Adult Center, Ocotillo and Palo Verde Rooms, 2240 W. Citrus Way, Phoenix, Arizona. 

 

Notes:

1.      Agenda items may be taken out of order.

2.      Anyone wishing to address an agenda item must complete a speaker card.

3.      Due to the time required for the number of items, the following time limits are recommended so the Committee may give all the cases on The results of the meeting were as follows:

	1.	Call to order and roll call.
Approved	2.	Review and approval of the September 23, 2008 minutes.
Comments made	3.	Announcements and public comments concerning items not on the agenda (not for committee discussion).
Approved	4.	Z-TA-6-08:  Presentation, discussion and possible action on text amendment request to amend Chapter 7 Section 702 (Off-street Loading) of the Zoning Ordinance to address new off-street loading standards for high-rise and multi-family developments. The Planning Commission will review this request on November 12, 2008.
Approved	5.	GPA-2-08: Presentation, discussion and possible action regarding a request to amend the General Plan to rename the Natural Resources Conservation Element to Natural Resources Conservation and Energy Element and add Goals, Policies and recommendations to address the conservation of energy and the greater use of renewable energy resources.   The Planning Commission will review this request on November 12, 2008.
Discussed	6.	Follow-up presentation and discussion regarding the ASU Camelback Corridor Spring Semester Studio recommendations and next steps.  This ASU studio examined design and development concepts for the area along Camelback Road between 7th Street and 21st Avenue.  For information only, no action.  Presentation by staff.
Discussed	7.	Presentation, discussion and possible action regarding the Alhambra Village Mid/High-Rise and Parks Subcommittee work programs.  Presentation by Subcommittee Chairs.
Discussed / No Action	8.	Presentation, discussion and possible action regarding VPC neighborhood outreach and notification strategies, VPC member involvement and VPC member interaction with other Villages.  Presentation by Chairman Jones.
Discussed / No Action	9.	Presentation, discussion and possible action regarding a proposed Alhambra Village Infrastructure Subcommittee.  Presentation by Chairman Jones.
Approved	10.	Presentation, discussion and possible action regarding the Alhambra Village 2009 meeting dates.
None	11.	Future agenda items and committee member requests for information or follow-up items (not for committee discussion or action).   NEXT MEETING IS TUESDAY NOVEMBER 18, 2008.
