DEER VALLEY VILLAGE PLANNING COMMITTEE

 

Pursuant to A.R.S. Section 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the members of the DEER VALLEY VILLAGE PLANNING COMMITTEE and to the general public, that the DEER VALLEY VILLAGE PLANNING COMMITTEE held a meeting open to the public on Thursday, November 20, 2008, at 6:30 p.m., located at the Deer Valley Community Center, 2001 W. Wahalla Drive, Phoenix, Arizona.

Called to Order	1.	Call to Order and Roll Call.
Approved	2.	Review and approval of the October 16, 2008 meeting minutes.
Comment made	3.	Public Comments concerning items not on the agenda (not for committee discussion or action).
		RECOMMENDATION & DISCUSSION ITEMS:
Discussed	4.	Presentation and discussion on transportation for Happy Valley Road and related street networks.  Presentation by representative of city of Phoenix Street Transportation Department.
Denied	5.	PHO-1-08—Z-29-03-1: Presentation, discussion and possible recommendation on a request for stipulation modification located at the Gold Mountain Preserve subdivision on the southeast corner of 67th Avenue alignment and the Pinnacle Vista Drive alignment.  Presentation by Dick Rossmiller.  The Planning Hearing Officer will hear this request on December 17, 2008.
Approved	6.	Z-87-08-1: Presentation, discussion and possible recommendation on a request to rezone 5.04 acres from R-4A to CP/BP for office/warehouse development located on the northwest corner of 27th Avenue and Foothills Drive.  Presentation by Edmir Dzudza. The Planning Commission will consider this request on December 10, 2008.
Approved	7.	Presentation, discussion, and possible recommendation on Happy Valley Road Land Use Study: This presentation will discuss the completed analysis and staff recommendation for the north side of Happy Valley Road from 7th Avenue to 19th Avenue.  Presentation by Megan Neal. The Planning Commission will consider this request on December 10, 2008.
Elections held	8.	Discussion and possible election of Officers for 2009 – Chair & Vice-Chair.
Approved	9.	Discussion and possible action regarding the 2009 meeting schedule of the Deer Valley Village Planning Committee.
Comments made	10.	Staff update on cases recently reviewed by the Committee (not for committee discussion of public input).
Discussed	11.	Committee member request for information, follow-up or future agenda items (not for committee discussion or action).
		Note that the next meeting is January 15, 2009.
