NOTICE OF RESULTS

ESTRELLA VILLAGE PLANNING COMMITTEE

 

Pursuant to A.R.S. Section 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to members of the ESTRELLA VILLAGE PLANNING COMMITTEE and to the general public, that the ESTRELLA VILLAGE PLANNING COMMITTEE held a meeting open to the public on Tuesday, December 2, 2008, at 6:00 p.m., located at Fowler District Board Room, 1617 South 67th Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona.

 

Note:

1.        Agenda items may be taken out of order.

2.        Anyone wishing to address an item should complete a speaker card, in addition:

3.                a.      Those wishing to address an item that may be voted on should signify                                 their support or opposition on the speaker card.

                b.     The speaker card should be submitted to the Village Secretary prior to                                   discussion of the item.

4.        Due to the time required for the number of items, the following time limits are recommended so that the Committee may give all the items the same level of attention:

                 a.    Staff report and recommendation

b.   Applicant (15 minutes).

c.   Other interested parties (2 minutes).

d.   Applicant response (5 minutes).

e.   Staff comments

f.    Floor Closed: Committee motion, discussion and vote.

Approved	2.	Review and approval of the November 5, 2008 minutes.
		INFORMATION ITEMS:
Presented and Discussed	3.	Presentation and possible discussion regarding “Making Sustainable Communities Happen.”  The presentation will provide information to the Committee on sustainability concepts to include sustainable measures and indicators utilized in the built environment.  Presentation by Liz Lonetti with the Arizona State University Stardust Center.  For information only, not for committee action.
		RECOMMENDATION ITEMS:
Continued	4.	Presentation, discussion and possible recommendation on GPA-EST-1-08-7. A request to amend the General Plan Land Use Map from Residential 3.5-5 du/ac (56.52 acres) and Commerce Park (23.48 acres) to Commerce Park (51.74 acres) and Residential 10-15 du/acre (28.26 acres) for approximately 80 acres located on the southeast corner of 105th Avenue alignment and Buckeye Road.  Presentation by Matt Klyszeiko, RBF Consulting. The Planning Commission will review this request on December 10, 2008.
Elections Held	5.	Discussion and possible election of Officers for 2009 – Chair & Vice-Chair.
Updated	6.	Staff update on cases recently reviewed by the committee (not for committee discussion or action).
None	7.	Public comments concerning items not on The results of the meeting were as follows: discussion or action).
None	8.	Committee member requests for information, follow-up or future agenda items (not for committee discussion or action).
Next Meeting	9.	The next regular meeting is January 6, 2009.
