NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

LAVEEN VILLAGE PLANNING COMMITTEE

 

Pursuant to A.R.S. Section 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the members of the LAVEEN VILLAGE PLANNING COMMITTEE, and to the general public, that the LAVEEN VILLAGE PLANNING COMMITTEE will hold a meeting open to the public on Monday, January 12, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. located in Building Room A, Laveen Elementary School, 5501 W. Dobbins Road, Laveen, Arizona.

 

Note:

§      Agenda items may be taken out of order.

§      Anyone wishing to address an item should complete a speaker card, in addition:

a.        Those wishing to address an item that may be voted on should signify their support or opposition on the speaker card.

b.        The speaker card should be submitted to the Village Planner prior to discussion of the item.

§      Due to the time required for the number of items, the following time limits are recommended so that the Committee may give all the items the same level of attention:

a.        Staff report and recommendation

b.        Applicant (15 minutes).

c.         Other interested parties (2 minutes).

d.        Applicant response (5 minutes).

e.        Staff comments

f.           Floor Closed: Committee motion, discussion and vote.

2.	Review and approval of the November 10, 2008 meeting minutes.
	INFORMATION ITEMS
3.	Presentation and discussion of vacant lot enforcement in Laveen.  Presentation by Officer Mario Ancich.
4.	Presentation and discussion of city of Phoenix Village Core Model.  Presentation by Staff.
5.	Discussion and update of 2008 village work program.
	a.	Rural Street Standards
	b.	New Business Development
	c.	Commercial Design Guidelines
	RECOMENDATIION  ITEMS
6.	Presentation, discussion, and possible recommendation on text amendment case Z-TA-13-08 Wireless Communication Facilities and Satellite Earth Stations.  Presentation by representative of the Arizona Wireless Association. The Planning Commission will consider this request on January 14, 2009.
7.	Discussion regarding Nomination and Election of 2009 Laveen Village Chair and Vice Chair.
8.	Committee member requests for information, follow-up or future agenda items (not for committee discussion or action).
9.	Public comments concerning items not on the agenda (not for committee discussion or action).
	NEXT REGULAR MEETING IS FEBURARY 9, 2009.
10.	Adjournment.
