Sports Development Program

The Sports Development program within the Community and Economic Development Department is intended to encourage the development of professional sports facilities and to attract major sporting events. The program focuses upon preserving and expanding the high quality of life enjoyed by Phoenix residents through a) continuous improvement in the sports/entertainment environment; b) enhancing Phoenix' image as a destination; and c) fostering the development of sports facilities that can be utilized by the community as recreational amenities.
